Information on Admission to K1 Classes in the School Year 2025-2026

The application of admission in the School Year 2025-2026 starts now.

  • We have join the “Kindergarten Education Scheme” of the Education Bureau.
  • According to the Education Bureau, the child must be aged 2 years 8 month when entering K1 classes, which is born on or before 31st December, 2022.

A. Return of Application Forms

  1. The application form can be downloaded from our website or you can also obtain it from school; in person.
  2. Complete and submit the application form to our school in person.
  3. Submit your application together with the documents listed below:
  • A copy of the Birth Certificate
  • A copy of the Immunization Record (Both sides included)
  • 2 passport-sized photos
  • 3 self-addressed stamped envelopes (HK$2.2)
  • HKD$40 of application fee

B. Interview Arrangements

  1. The KG will arrange interview for all applicants.
  2. Parents must accompany their child for the interview. Only 2 adults are allowed to accompany and only 1 adult is allowed to enter the classroom.
  3. The interview is held in Cantonese. Non-Chinese speaking please notify us if translation service is needed. We also allow parents and children to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative/friend during the interview to facilitate communication.

  4. The interview takes approximately 30 minutes. Your child’s performance could be assessed in various aspects, through play, toys, stories, music or drawings.
  5. To ensure a safe and hygienic environment, we will take various anti-epidemic measures to avoid to reduce the chance of contracting and spreading COVID-19.
  6. Those who are absent will be deemed to have given up their application automatically.
  7. Relevant documents and application fees will not be refunded.

C. Admission Criteria

The applicant will be classified with the category below:

  • The interview performance
  • The applicant is currently studying in our N1 classes
  • The applicant with sibling(s) is/are studying in / have graduated from our school
  • The applicant with parent(s) graduated from our school
  • The applicant with parent(s) who are the staff from the Methodist Church

The applicant coming from families in need will be given due priority consideration when applying for whole day classes

(As the number of school places is limited, please note that NOT all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed an offer.)

D. Application Procedures

Application for the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission”

(hereafter referred as “RC”)

Application to K1 classes to our school

NOTE:

  1. Applicants on the waiting list: We will inform parents of the update of K1 admission results by phone and whether the open position is filled by their child. Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child on 2-1-2025 to 4-1-2025. Parents are required to submit the original of the “2025/26 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee.
  2. The registration fee will be refundable if their child will be studying in our school in September.
  3. Parents can refer to the K1 vacancy information released by EDB from early February, 2025.
  4. Applications are welcome after the “Centralized Registration Dates”.
  5. Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify our school in writing. We will return the “RC” but the registration fee will not be refunded. We will no longer keep the school place for the child.

Charges

1.The purchase of educational paid items/services (such as textbooks, exercise books, school uniforms, schoolbags, tea and snacks, stationery, etc.) is entirely voluntary and that parents can select the items according to their individual needs.

2. All fees will be adjusted annually and the relevant fees are subject to the latest official announcement of the school.
